I'm a Walgreens Shopper!!

I used to never go to Walgreens ~ maybe once a year max! Never even looked at their ads in the paper ... speaking of the paper, today is Tuesday and you can still purchase this last Sundays Paper there, just mentioning this in case you ever need an extra paper for the coupons but Sundays come and gone ... anyways back to my subject ...
After watching the deals and testing them out the past few weeks they are definitely worth stopping at. I've come away with many free items we use in our household and I would purchase anyways. The people who work there have been extremely friendly & helpful in helping me find "stuff" and also in explaining Walgreens Register Rewards. In my previous stop there I did have divide my purchase into two transactions, if I didn't instead of having $10 in register rewards I would only have had $5 - that is just the way their system works - so if you are purchasing more than one of the same item that should be getting register rewards make sure to put them into separate orders. Also if you use a reward to purchase the same item you received the reward from it will not give you a new one - so try to use it to purchase something different.
Hope that made a little bit of sense - if not send me an e-mail and I'll try to explain better ... but right now I'm on the run :-)

My Walgreen Deals

Stopped by Walgreens this morning and here's the deals: On this order I purchased 2 glade candles at $3.49 ( and had 2 $2 coupons for them) 1 Chapstick Naturals at $1.99, and 1 Skintimate Shave Cream - I paid $4.68 with tax for this ... but ... I received two register rewards back at $5 - and I also have $2 in rebates coming back to me for the candles.

So I paid $4.68 for this order - got back $5 in register rewards that can be used to pay for anything at Walgreens - and will be getting $2 in rebates.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Next I bought a 99cent colgate toothpaste (had a 75cent coupon), Edge Shaving Cream at $2.99, and a Chapstick Shimmers at $1.99 ... I paid $5.58 and received another $5 back in register rewards.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I did have to pay for this in 2 seperate transactions in order to get all of the register rewards ... but I'll explain that in my next post.

Have you cleaned your coffee pot lately?

I just cleaned mine yesterday so this was on my mind :-) Just run 2 cups of white vinegar through your machine and let sit for about 20 minutes. Then run some fresh water through at least twice. Nothing like a nice fresh hot cup of coffee from a clean machine!

Free Movie Rentals From RedBox

On Mondays you can get a free movie at any redbox kiosk. Here is the coupon code good through midnight tonight Monday the 30th: 89ZQJ3
You will need to enter your credit card information - but as long as you return the movie by 9pm tomorrow night there will be no charge.
We haven't used the free movie promo code yet (monday nights just aren't convenient for movie watching for our family ... maybe in the summer) but I understand that you'll want to press the "promo code" on the first screen and then select the movie you want.
Also you can visit redbox on line here to find the nearest one to you and also get another free movie. And I also just noticed that you can reserve movies at the kiosk you are going to via online, so that they will be available when you go to get them (not too sure that would work for the free one though?)

Restaurant.com

Buy $25 Restaurant Gift Certificates for $3. Enter the discount code: SAVE at checkout and hit "Apply"
Click Here to get there. And enter your zip code for Restaurants in your area.
The last time I purchased some on sale the discount also applied to the $10 certificates ~ but double check at checkout, you'll be able to see your cost for each.
This discount ends tomorrow, the 31st. But they do offer discounts often. You can print the certificate immediately and it's good for one year. Make sure to read the stipulations for each restaurant, they are all a bit different. I'll try to write some more info on them later but if you've got any questions before then you can e-mail me (ngextra@live.com)
They've got some really good ones listed in the Boise/Meridian area ~ We really like Ono (Hawaiian Fusion), The Melting Pot, Siam Thai, Willow Creek Grill, & Cazba ~ if you visit any of the others send me an e-mail, I'd love to hear how the food was and if you'd recommend them!

5 Boxes of Cereal for 85 CENTS!

Stopped by Albertsons this morning after making the drop at school to check out the cereal sale. I used my $1 coupon from this weekends paper - along with this $2 coupon for Post Trail Mix Crunch - print here

Cereal is priced on the shelf at $2.07 but if you buy more than 2 boxes the sale price is $1.57 a box. If you buy 5 boxes - along with the receipt a $5 coupon towards your next purchase at Albertsons will print too! Just make sure if you are purchasing more than 5 boxes you do this in separate transactions ~ it's my understanding that only one $5 coupon will print per transaction. So I did pay $5.85 but received a $5 coupon towards my next purchase. Taking this coupon into consideration I paid approximately 17cents for a box of cereal. If you only print the $2 coupon above you'll be paying approximately 38cents a box - and with no coupons about 79cents a box. Gotta use your Albertson's Rewards Card for this too - if you don't have one just ask the Cashier before you start your transaction.

Pedigree Dentastix

I didn't print the coupon for this ~ they are usually too big for Bella, the last time I bought some I had my electric knife smokin 'cause I was tryin to cut them down for her ... so I think I better just skip them!
$2.50 coupon ~ print here

Snuggle $2 Coupon

Found the $2 Snuggle coupon - print here

Pup-Peroni

These are on Bella's list of top 3 favorite snacks! Nice to find a $1 off coupon on something I buy all the time anyways - print here

TIP: after you print the coupon press the "back" button on your computer and it will print another. Typically most sites will let you print 2 coupons per computer ~ I buy these Pup-Peroni alot, so I printed more of these from the other computers in the house.

Pledge Multi Surface Cleaner & Snuggle Fabric Softener

This product had rave reviews on-line ~ one cleaner for everything: wood, glass, mirrors, granite, electronics, laminate, stainless steel, plastics, marble, chrome, & more ~ I thought that sounded great! But the one thing I really wanted it for was stainless steel, and I really wasn't that impressed with it for that... it left it clean but really streaky. It did do a terrific job on mirrors (better than the windex we've been using) and chrome faucets. I'd buy it again, but only if it's on sale and I've got a good coupon for it :-) Here's one for $2 off - print here
On the same link for the Pledge coupon you should be able to print $1 coupon for Snuggle too. There's a $2 one out there somewhere in cyberspace ~ and when I come across it again I'll link it too.

Campbell's Soup

Used one of these coupons just this week - print here

Post Cereal Sale at Albertsons

Albertsons is having a big sale on cereals by Post ~ if you buy 2 boxes with your rewards card they are $1.57 a box. I understand if you buy 5 boxes at $7.85 ($1.57 x 5boxes) a $5 coupon will print after you pay that can be used the next time you shop there. I've learned these coupons that print out the same time your receipt does are called catalinas. Anyways, if you take into consideration this coupon that prints out - that makes the cereal 57 cents a box. I think that's a pretty good deal!! If you're gonna buy more than 5 boxes - don't buy them all at once - say your buying 10 - divide them into 2 different transactions, only one $5 coupon will print per transaction.

Cereals listed in the Albertsons Sunday Flyer: Honey Bunches of Oats, Raisin Bran, Shredded Wheat, Grape Nuts ~ I've read that alot of the other Post Cereals will fall under this sale too. I've also read through blog land that alot of the Albertsons aren't prepared for this big sale but that they do have pallets of cereal coming, so if they don't happen to have what you're looking for the probably will sometime during the sale though. I understand the sale runs through April 7th.

There is a $1 Post cereal coupon in todays Sunday Paper - get $1 off when you buy 2 boxes of Shredded Wheat, Raisin Bran, Grapenuts - so this will make it an even better deal bringing it down to 37cents a box ~ and if you get a hold of another coupon makeing it even way less! I also did locate this $2 coupon on the Post website for Trail Mix Crunch but I'm not sure if it will be part of the sale - print here

Toaster Strudel

Not something we usually get - but my son would sure be happy to find these on his plate for breakfast! Serve with some eggs for protein and some turkey bacon and it's at least a halfway healthy breakfast and I won't feel so guilty that we're eating them :-) $1 off - print here

A Few Coupons

A few coupons:

$1 off Pert Plus - print here (it was $1.99 at Albertsons this week & I used it with their double coupons in the sunday paper - so it was free)

Listerine Whitening coupons - print here I've used the regular whitening pre-brush rinse & would buy it again, but I think I'll try the Vibrant White next time ... one can always use a more vibrant smile :-)

I've been wanting to try the Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber and with a coupon for $2.75 I probably will - print here - I think they go for around $3 so with this coupon they should be 25cents.

I LOVE the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner!! And with this $7 off coupon I'm gonna buy me another in case I've got to replace the one I've had in my shower for probably over 2 years now ~ last time I was in Walmart they were $10 - print here

I haven't used this one - but it's a good deal if you know someone who'd like to go to Build-a-Bear. It's $5 off an animal priced at $10 or more ... the last time I took a stroll by there in the mall they had quite a few that you could "build" at $10-$12 (but it's been a while since I've been there.) - print here

TIP: If you do see a coupon you know you will use - try and print it right-a-way, I've seen some late at night and figured I would just print them in the morning but by then they were gone. I think they just put out so many and once they are printed that's it.
